"Hende Sano, Bida Sano" has come to a close.
The associates of the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and MVC Eagle Beach participated in a 4-month long health program under the name “Hende Sano, Bida Sano” which means Healthy People, Healthy Life. Any associate could register for the program which consisted of physical exercises three times a week combined with workshops and lectures. At the helm of this program were Mrs. Nannelle van der Spil-Croes and Mr. Jerome van der Spil of Transition 2 Health who successfully executed this program along with Fundacion Movimiento pa Bida and in corporation with partners Aruba Medical Assistance, Laborario di Servicio and other professionals in their respective fields. The associates learned more about the importance of nutrition, mental and physical health.
The exercise routines were a combination of flexibility, cardiovascular exercises and strength exercises. All participating associates did the same physical and conditioning tests at the beginning and at the end of this program in order to verify everyone’s progress. The physical progress, motivation, participation and presence at the different activities were the criteria to select the overall winner, who is Ms. Maria Leidy Muñoz of the Maintenance department. Congratulations again to Leidy and all program participants.
