The Butterfly Farm sign outside of the Farm

Feb 11, 2019

The Butterfly Farm Flies Into its 20th Year in Aruba

Celebratory anniversary event upcoming.

The tranquil beauty of the Butterfly Farm has been a standout attraction on Aruba for 20 years. Its Palm Beach location sits in contrast to the nearby white sand beach, with the Farm offering a quiet, green environment where beauty is discovered in the diversity, color and graceful flight of hundreds of butterflies. The butterflies will remain the star attraction as the Farm begins its planning of educational activities and a celebratory anniversary event scheduled for later this year.

“We came to Aruba in 1998 with many hopes and dreams, together with a goal of contributing to our new community as a whole. Above all, we wanted to enhance and strengthen Aruba’s tourism and its environment at the same time,” comments Farm co-founders Tony and Lori Cox on their original vision for the Farm.

Over its 20-year history, the Butterfly Farm has flourished on the philosophy of embracing environmental values. Today, Tony and Lori, together with a talented team of dedicated guides, continue to keep true to their goal of informing and impressing Farm visitors through the simple formula of showcasing the beauty of the natural world.

“Our dreams have been more than realized and now we want to recognize the extraordinary support we have received from our community during the past two decades. We also want to acknowledge the hundreds of thousands of visitors to Aruba who have embraced us during their vacations here. We thank the many local schools, summer camps, and special needs groups that have made us a regular excursion destination. Finally, we want to express our unending gratitude to the many hundreds of employees and volunteers who helped make our dreams come true,” explains Tony on what will be at the heart of plans for an upcoming anniversary event.

The Butterfly Farm will announce details of planned activities in the near future. In the meantime, everyone is encouraged to stop in and visit, or revisit, a favorite Aruba attraction. The Aruba Butterfly Farm is located in Palm Beach, across from the Divi Phoenix.

We’re just getting started with the amazing effects Aruba has to offer. Dig into your trip details below to unlock a Caribbean experience that will fill you with sunshine and send you home with a happy afterglow that never fades.
