Experience a full-fledged four-course pairing dinner!
Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is celebrating its 60th anniversary this month, and has launched a series of events, highlighting the resort’s deep roots within Aruba’s history and culture.
It is only befitting for the Sunset Grille to launch a series of wine dinners, showcasing the steakhouse’s elevated cuisine in collaboration with top-tier local wine suppliers.
Kicking off the series on Saturday, July 27, a four-course pairing dinner guided by Wine & Hospitality Service Specialist Monrick Croes.
The evening starts a 6:30pm with a welcome cocktail reception at Mira Solo Lobby Bar. The evening then continues in the Sunset Grille, Aruba’s premier steakhouse.
Created by Executive Cheff Matt Boland and the Sunset Grille culinary brigade, the pairing dinner showcases signature dishes, with wines selected to complement the flavors.
The menu features two appetizers, an intermezzo, a main course, and dessert.
It starts off with locally sourced Burrata and blood oranges served on a bed of locally grown arugula, paired with Lagar de Bezana from Rosado, Chile. Next follows a classic Coquilles St Jacques with Gravlax of Salmon, paired with Gen5 Chardonnay from Lodi, California.The delicious appetizers are followed by a Mango Sorbet Intermezzo.
The evening’s main course serves Dry Aged prime, 8oz sirloin grilled and escorted by demi-glace truffle sauce, paired with Roth Heritage Red from Sonoma County.
The beef served at the Sunset Grille is of the highest quality, by Creekstone Farms. The farm raises superior Black Angus and applies exceptional cattle management practices to create unique and flavorful steaks.
Dinner concluded with a poached pear frangipane tart, complementing the Vieira De Souza, Ruby Port from Portugal.
“We are staging a truly interesting four-course menu featuring the finest steaks and freshest ingredients,” says Executive Chef, Matt Boland, “we’re highlighting the contemporary flair of the of Sunset Grille, and each course will be expertly prepared and artfully paired with quality wines from The Wine Room,” Boland concludes.
The dinner is priced at $125 per person, in honor of the property’s 60th anniversary this month, as the first luxury hotel on the island.
