Riu Palace Aruba and Riu Palace Antillas Celebrate Employees During Housekeeping Week
Riu Palace Aruba and Riu Palace Antillas, known for its commitment to team building and staff recognition, celebrated one of the resort's core departments with the introduction of Housekeeping Week. Kicking off on September 11 through September 17, the housekeeping staff was recognized for their loyal commitment and service to the hotel with a variety of activities. Throughout the week, the resorts coordinated several activities to honor their beloved housekeeping team.
Activities ranged from bingo to milkshakes, but the highlight of the week was a Zumba class by the pool for both the housekeeping staff and guests to participate in. Employee awards were then given out to recognize each employee's hard work and dedication to both resorts. Santa Roa was awarded 'Employee with the Most Years Working for RIU Hotels & Resorts'; Martina Hernandez won 'Best Supervisor'; while Ruth Sosa and Isabel Rodriguez won the 'Best Employee' award. Furthermore, Minerva Rodriguez was awarded "Best Housekeeping Room Attendant' and Liliana Fernandez was pronounced 'Queen of Housekeeping.' After a week long of events and activities, hotel guests and staff rounded out the week with a special celebratory barbecue cookout on the beach.
"We are beyond grateful for our housekeeping team at both resorts in Aruba," said Juan Blanco, general manager of Riu Palace Antillas. "Dedicating one week to honor their year-round work and making them feel special is the least we can do to show our appreciation and gratitude for all their hard work and dedication to RIU Hotels & Resorts. We are very thankful."
