Oscar’s Market: Hilton Aruba’s new Grab & Go

Characterized by its minimalist, cozy design, the new Grab & Go offers freshly made gourmet Lavazza coffee and espresso in a variety of flavors, in addition to convenient food items including pastries, sandwiches, salads and ice cream.

The addition of Oscar’s Market not only enhances the guests’ experience, but also redesigns the hotel lobby concept as a lively social hub for gathering, all day snacking and recreation.

The name Oscar’s Market occupies a special place of honor in the heart of the resort, as it recognizes the life work of Aruban tourism pioneer, Oscar Henriquez.
Henriquez was among those who conceived the first luxury high-rise hotel on Palm Beach, as Aruba’s first Commissioner of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Tourism in 1955. At the time, he was the key decision maker in the planning the resort as part of the introduction of tourism to the island.
Henriquez was also President of a government-sponsored company, ARUVEN, which was responsible for the planning and financing of the island’s first five-star luxury hotel, the Aruba Caribbean Hotel, now flagged as the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Hotel & Casino, designed by the world-famous American architect, Morris Lapidus.

Lavazza, one of the world’s best-loved coffee brands now has a new home in Aruba, at Oscar’s Market, featuring the mix of Central and South American Arabica beans that create the rich dark roast with strong, fragrant flavor and aroma. You may also buy some coffee at the cute market, which is suitable for your home drip coffee maker or a French press.
The late Luigi Lavazza pronounced laˈvattsa in Italian, where he founded his business in Turin in 1895, as a small grocery store. Today it is a global empire with 2,700 worker-bees still headquartered in Turin, Italy.

Oscar’s Market serves Espresso, Cappuccino and Latte in four different sizes and many styles including some made with Lavazza Tierra Brasile 100% Arabica Espresso - a premium blend that comes from the marriage of two selected coffees, Arabica and Cereja Passita. Then there is Cappuccino Frappe menu board listing beverages served with or without coffee and sinful liquor shots, Hot Chocolates, Chai and five varieties of Lemonades.

Best of all is the gelato with a variety of flavors to choose from: Dulce De Leche, Ferrero Rocher, Oreo, Pistachio, as well as TIPSY varieties such as Italian Amaretto, Crema Rum, Lemon Tequila, and Sangria Rose.
