At a recent holiday gala, La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino proudly revealed that Rufina Orman, Accounting, won the Associate of the Year, 2018, title, followed by a first runner up, Micherlande Prophet, Housekeeping.
Jeanette Brooks, Food & Beverage, was elected Supervisor of the Year, 2018 and Igmar Franken, Food & Beverage, landed the Manager of the Year, 2018, title.
Team of the Year, came from the PBX department.
Executive Committee members, Joe Najjar, General Manager; Jessica Franken, Assistant General Manager; Pierre Kock, F&B Director; Daniel Aguirre, Chief Engineer; Tessely Koolman, Human Resources Director and Marc Anthony, Financial Manager, were on hand to present awards to their hard-working associates and pose for commemorative photographs and join in the applause, for a job well done.
Among those nominated to the Associate of the Year, were all past winners of the Associate of the Month title: Alexander Werleman, PBX; Roshaline Croes, F&B; Diahaira Vrolijk, Owners Services; Henry Garcia, P&B; Christopher Carolina, Security; Marina Stamper, F&B; Janet Reid, Front Office; James Williams, Security; Dean Sandikrama, Security and Naisa Nurse, Health Club.
Among those nominated to Supervisor of the Year, were all past winners of Supervisors of the Quarter title: Juan Marquez, Housekeeping; Luz Adriana Danje, Kitchen and Adriana Tromp, Housekeeping.
Among those nominated to the Manager of the Year, were all past winners of Manager of the Quarter title: Nilda Girigori, Housekeeping; Rina Geerman, Owners Services and Frank Sabajo, Engineering.
Among those nominated to the Team pf the Year, were all past winners of the Team of the Quarter title: F&B Department, Housekeeping Team and Security Department.
Winners were praised for their dedication to work and their love and appreciation of guests, the pride they take in their work, their high level of involvement with the organization and with guests and their spirit of collaboration, positive outlook, caring attitude, attention to detail, their optimism, exceptional motivation, structured approach, and the support of the resort’s mission to Create Memorable Vacations, and its belief that Hospitality Happens Here.
Winners were all presented with a great number of gifts including commemorative sculptures, Christmas baskets, a generous allowance for self-development courses, weekend stays, dinners, star points, assigned special parking, gift certificates and airline tickets.
