International Women’s Day Celebration at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino

The female team members received a special invitation wrapped around a bar of chocolate congratulating them on their special day, and requesting their presence at a breakfast session in their honor, in the ballroom on March 11th, 2019.

The United Nations recognized March 8th as International Women's Day for the first time in 1975, and to help commemorate the day, motivational speaker and Life Coach, Nathaly Cabrera, of Dynamis NV, was invited as guest for the day.

Nathaly spoke about the different roles women play and how identifying with each role may affect their well-being.

As a mother, wife, daughter, and caregiver, among other diverse roles, women are expected to behave a certain way, and rise to every challenge, without losing their own individual identity in the myriad of tasks they perform, and in the countless hours they devote to their family members, friends, and their community.

“Thank you, Hilton Aruba Caribbean, for the opportunity of being your guest speaker at the Women’s Day event”, Nathaly stated, “it is always great to experience the strength unity can create”.

The festive afternoon in the newly renovated Morris Lapidus Ballroom was opened with a welcome address by the director of Human Resources, Glenn Farro, who reiterated the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, meeting all challenging goals together, with women in key leadership roles.

“We are lucky here in Aruba because every day is Women's Day”, he said, “we are blessed with a gentle and supportive island community where both men and women are given opportunities to develop and prosper”, he concluded.
