EPI Celebrates World Tourism Day and More

What's new with Colegio EPI?

World Tourism Day

All faculty members had shirts printed with the World Tourism Day logo.

Every year we also announce the Pineapple Awards recipients and winners on this day. Why a pineapple, because the pineapple is the symbol of hospitality.

The Pineapple Award is an award where students are selected by the faculty for their hospitality skills and we all vote for the best candidate. Pineapple pin is a golden pin and students wear this with very much pride.

In total we had 6 winners this year from all the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students from all programs. The students whom received their pin this year was Silvana Quintero, Charmaine Valeria, Jian-Wen Lu and Railyn Geerman, John Jairo Maduro and Duchley Ferrer.

We also pinned 3 new faculty members the Hospitality TORCH which represent that we ignite the fire of hospitality and we keep transfer these to our students. This year the faculty that joined our Hospitality Team are Minerva Kock, Marianne Bruyning and Roberto Koolman and got their TORCH Pin as well.

During this day students got a cupcake with pineapple symbol on this and refreshment for celebration of this day.
