Aruba hosts 4th edition Electric Festival Aruba - Music festivals
Aruba is excited to host the fourth edition of Electric Festival (EF) this September 1-4, 2016. The main festival sponsor, The Aruba Tourism Authority, along with the organizers of EF, twins Maurice and Karim Neme, are collaborating on this experiential four-day event showcased on the One Happy Island.
“Aruba will become the Island of Electronic Music that week,” said the event’s co-organizer and spokesman, Darren van Ommeren.
Electric Festival Aruba welcomes a lineup of acclaimed international and local DJs. This year, the event will feature a new concept focusing on lifestyle themes, appropriately named, “Taste – Play – Explore.” Visitors can enjoy the cuisine of the island, explore and participate in signature activities offered by the One Happy Island.
The headquarters of the event will be located in Oranjestad, San Nicolaas and Palm Beach. Featured activities will take place across incredible restaurants, the Renaissance pool deck, Renaissance Private Island, the Renaissance Convention Center, Moomba Beach, Renaissance Fashion Mall, Renaissance Festival Plaza, Oranjestad Downtown and the popular Carubbean Festival.
The Electric Festival is organized in three parts:
1. Taste: Attendees can enjoy four days of dinners at a variety of restaurants offering special menus and deals on decadent dishes and signature drinks. Participating restaurants will be +297 restaurant, Yemanja, L.G. Smith Steak & Chop House, Hadicurari Restaurant, Craft Coffee & Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Atardi Restaurant and Casa Tua Pizzeria.
2. Play: Recognized as the main showcases of the festival, these events will be held at the Renaissance Pool Deck, Renaissance Festival Plaza, Renaissance Convention Center, Renaissance Private Island, Carubbean Festival and Moomba Beach. An exciting lineup of acclaimed DJs will be present, such as Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano (Holland), DEORRO (USA/México), David Squillace (Italy), Vanjee (Israel), ALX, Neverdogs, Hector, Abril Love (Venezuela), Diego Teran (Venezuela) and much more. Moomba Beach will be hosting the closing event of the festival on Sunday, September 4 with a unique beach party, set to take place throughout the day and night.
3. Explore: The experience “Explore“ is an experiential tour complete with popular DJs. Guests will get to know the island, on both land and water. There will be a DJ at Fisherman’s Hut in Palm Beach, complete with Kite surf activities, Yoga classes, and cultural activities on Thursday, September 1 at the Carubbean Festival in San Nicolas.
Welcoming international attendees from across the world, the organization has already sold more than 1,200 tickets online. While more surprises are currently in the making, the complete schedule of artists will be announced no later than August 31st.
