Corporate Group Sale team members, fall in love with Aruba at the Hilton
Having recently hosted a corporate Leisure Sales team, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino repeated the experience with a corporate Group Sale team, from the USA.
The team members, in charge of group sales in Canada, Latin America, and other Worldwide accounts enjoyed island hospitality, sampling Aruba’s outstanding menu of tourist services and attractions first-hand.
As guests of the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino they were given an overview presentation of the ongoing multi-million dollar refresh of the property, situated on 14 acres of the island’s most spectacular Palm Beach.
Mari Garcia, director of sales and marketing, assured guests that there will not be any radical changes made to the historic design of the resort. The property will forever maintain its West Indies-inspired spirit and style so treasured by loyal repeat guests. The refresh will capitalize on the distinctive architecture and open-air design, originally masterminded by the renowned American architect Morris Lapidus in the late 1950s. Plans call for the furniture, fixtures and décor picked to recapture that retro era, dating back to the resort’s conception, safeguarding its genuinely Aruban identity.
While on the island, sales team members enjoyed exceptional culinary offerings at the welcome reception featuring fresh whole Red Snapper, Creole sauce, accompanied by Plantain and Funchi; Coconut pigeon beans rice, Keshi Yena and Cucumber Stoba, among other local specialties.
The group went sailing and snorkeling on a private Red Sail Sports catamaran, took an island tour visiting inland attractions, and celebrated island life at a Picnic Lunch on the resort lawn with fresh coconut drinks.
The Farewell Reception & Dinner, on the eforea spa beach presented a Carnival show and BBQ specialties including lobster salad in cactus barrel, crab legs, chorizo, lamb chops, coconut curry and bottomless cranberry mojitos, with spectacular décor and props by ECO Destination Management.
Just prior to leaving the group was pampered with a breakfast at the Sunset Grille restaurant, where guest were presented with souvenir Aruba products including Aruba t-shirts, caps, hot papaya sauce and Aruba Aloe products.
