Coming in from the street, visitors gather in an atrium entrance with unique Paleolithic objects and artifacts, guided by the owner participants are accessing a revealing experience through spaces furnished with exclusive antiques from Aruba’s first “society” families.
Green vegetation and big boulders of rocks that connect the gorgeous patio interior and a restrained palette of wood, stone and thick adobe make up the contemporary native collection space, which the artistic owner enlivened with paint colors that could compete with the sun. The resident couple believes that “lifestyle is work, work is lifestyle”. It follows that Etnia Nativa is a total expression of art –built by hand to his owner's design and filled with only his favorite possessions.
There are disarmingly simple displays of quotidian objects on every surface. In the gardens you can explore the wood-fired kiln that the artist uses to fire his clay pieces – some of which are in exhibition.
