Protecting our heritage, our skin and our coral reefs!
It’s an incredibly exciting time at Aruba Aloe! After many months of intensive research, reformulations, and meticulous testing, the company is riding high on the wave of the booming November 12 launch of its brand-new line of natural, mineral-based sunscreens.
A new line that has been completely developed by Aruba Aloe’s local in-house Research & Development team. One of the most significant benefits of the new mineral sunscreen is that it’s eco and coral friendly. The new sunscreens are oxybenzone FREE and the minerals are not harmful to corals and are not linked to coral bleaching. Besides, the new mineral sunscreens are FREE of nano-particles as well, preventing the minerals from getting into your skin.
Next to the eco and coral friendly benefits, Aruba Aloe’s new mineral sunscreens are packed with their famous moisturising 100% pure and fresh Aloe Vera Gel sourced from the company’s own Aloe fields next to the factory. They are water resistant, and offer broad-spectrum (UVB/UVA) protection against the harmful rays of the sun. Plus, the new sunscreens still promise Aruba Aloe’s signature coconut-vanilla sunscreen scent. Over time, the company’s non-mineral sunscreens will be phased out, and by the middle of 2019, all non-mineral sunscreens will no longer be available in the Aruba Aloe stores.
Most exciting of all, however, is the fact that Aruba Aloe successfully created a mineral sunscreen that rubs in really well and does not leave a white cast on the skin, which is typical for many mineral sunscreens. Instead, Aruba Aloe’s mineral sunscreen leaves a beautiful glow on the skin. According to Jessica Posner, marketing manager for Aruba Aloe, “Our team made it a priority to ensure that its new mineral-based formula wouldn’t add a white tint to the skin, and we are incredibly proud and excited to share that we indeed succeeded and kept all the other benefits in place as well. We can’t wait for everyone to try them!”
Along with the launch of its new eco and coral friendly sunscreen, to underscore its commitment to protecting Aruba’s precious corals and reefs, Aruba Aloe donated Awg.10.000, - to the Scubble Bubbles foundation, a youth diving group that is focused on helping to restore the coral reefs of Aruba. With the donation, the foundation is able to setup a complete new and second coral nursery to restore and grow new coral. Furthermore, Aruba Aloe will be inviting customers at checkout in all its stores to make donations of $1, $2, or $5 to help this foundation preserve its local aquatic life.
The Aruba Aloe team couldn’t be more enthusiastic to bring its new mineral sunscreens to the market—sunscreens that are not only protecting customers from the sun, but also contribute to protecting our coral reefs, and our environment! The company invites both locals and island guests to try its new mineral sunscreens, available at all Aruba Aloe retail stores across the island.
